Signs for Sevilla on five-year deal
Sangante has joined Sevilla from Le Havre as a free agent on a five-year contract until June 2031, the club announced.
Analysis: Sangante joined Le Havre at the age of 15 and developed through every level of the club before establishing himself as a regular starter and captain from the 2023/24 season at just 21 years old. Sangante made 74 Ligue 1 appearances across three top-flight seasons, contributing four goals, having previously played a key role in Le Havre's promotion to the top flight as champions in 2022/23 where he contributed three goals and two assists across 35 second division appearances. The tall defender, who can also operate at right-back, now heads to Sevilla for his first experience outside France, bringing leadership, physical presence and top-flight experience to a club looking to rebuild their defensive unit heading into the 2026/27 campaign.

Sangante is no longer banned and is an option for play in the coming games.
Analysis: Sangante is in the mix again after two games out, serving a ban after a red card. Luckily for the club, this means the return of a starting player, as the defender has starte din all 26 of his appearances. He should then resume in the middle of the defense to finish the season.
Handed two-match suspension
Sangante received a two-match suspension following the red card he picked up in Saturday's draw against Angers, the league announced.
Analysis: Sangante is set to miss the next two matchups in Ligue 1 against Metz on Sunday and against Lille next week, leaving a temporary hole in the lineup. The center-back is expected to be back in contention for the May 10 clash against Marseille. In the meantime, Stephan Zagadou is the favorite to step in and handle duties in the back three for Les Ciel et Marine.
