Sends in four crosses in Uruguay fixture
Al-Juwayr recorded three crosses (two accurate), one interception and four corners and created one scoring chance in Monday's 1-1 draw against Uruguay.
Analysis: Al-Juwayr was one of the liveliest men for his team despite his limited output, leading it in crosses. He was also the only one to take any corner kick, and one of those eventually led to Saudi Arabia's lone goal. He was productive in his home country in 2025/2026, tallying seven goals and 12 assists in 35 matches with Al-Qadsiah and is tasked with a similar role in his national team.
Called up for first World Cup
Al-Juwayr is set to be a starter for Saudi Arabia at the 2026 World Cup.
Analysis: Al-Juwayr is entering his first World Cup this summer as the young rising talent for Saudi Arabia, coming off a Player of the Season award in the Saudi Pro League. He will be used as their attacking option from the midfield in the final third, a player with decent playmaking ability, although they are yet to be tested at this level. He did record a very solid seven goals and 12 assists in league play this season, so it is clear he has a knack for goal contributions. However, he will need to prove himself, especially in a group that could turn out to be a very difficult selection of teams.
