Joins Angers on two-year deal
Lopes signed with Angers on a two-year contract with an option for a third season, the club announced.
Analysis: Lopes brings considerable experience to Angers after a distinguished career that included 378 Ligue 1 appearances and 123 clean sheets with Lyon, where he established himself as one of the most reliable goalkeepers in French football over more than a decade. The Portuguese international also made 74 European appearances for the Olympians, including a memorable performance against Besiktas where two penalty saves helped his team advance. He was part of the Portugal squad that won Euro 2016 and made his international debut in March 2015. After leaving Lyon, Lopes spent a season and a half at Nantes, adding 49 Ligue 1 appearances to his record before making the move to Anjou. He arrives at Angers with a total of 553 professional appearances including 427 in Ligue 1, giving the club one of the most experienced goalkeepers in the French game as they prepare for life in Ligue 2 next season.
Four saves in 1-0 defeat

Analysis: Lopes made four saves but conceded a goal. It was the fourth consecutive league fixture where the 35-year-old failed to keep a clean sheet. Lopes' next assignment will be against Toulouse.
